San Jose native Alice Adams is an experienced teacher, currently working in the Evergreen Elementary School District.
She graduated from Mills College with a B.A. in Writing, holds a California Multiple-Subject Credential, and has completed graduate coursework for a Single Subject Credential in English Language Arts. Working with students ranging in age from Kindergarten through Middle School, she shares her passion for great books and powerful writing while promoting curiosity and investigation. Building upon students’ strengths and interests, Ms. Adams engages all types of learners in setting academic and personal goals and working persistently toward them. To meet the individual needs of each student, she provides necessary scaffolds to make content accessible to all, providing a pathway to achievement and growth for students from all backgrounds.
