Katelyn Nebesnick graduated from California State University Stanislaus with a degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry.

She spent a year of additional schooling to receive an EMT certification to work in Emergency Medical Services. In between summers of playing soccer in Europe, Katelyn earned her substitute teaching credential. She was employed by the City of Gilroy as a preschool teacher as well as a substitute teacher for Gilroy Unified School District. Katelyn is passionate about helping kids in a variety of ways including teaching, fostering youth, and coaching soccer. She comes from an athletic background consisting of field hockey, futsal, and soccer, which has led to her gaining experience working with kids. Katelyn enjoys working with the students and staff at Silver Creek Academy where students are dedicated to improving their academics.
